You can have the best agent site in town and still be invisible to AI if a single text file is quietly blocking the crawlers. This is the cheapest thing to get right.
robots.txt: the one that actually matters
Your robots.txt file tells crawlers what they may read. Some website builders block AI
crawlers like GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and Google-Extended by default, without telling you.
If yours does, no amount of schema or content will help, because the engines never see the page. Fixing
it is a two-line change, and it is the first thing to check.
llms.txt: useful, but do not oversell it
An llms.txt file is a plain-text summary of your site meant for AI agents. It is worth
having as a tidy signal of what your site is about. Be honest about its weight though: Google has said
llms.txt does not affect its search or AI Overview ranking, and crawlers fetch it inconsistently. Treat
it as agent-readiness housekeeping, not a ranking lever. Anyone selling llms.txt as a magic AI-visibility
switch is overstating it.
Get both checked and generated
GeoRoar's free audit tells you immediately whether your robots.txt is blocking AI crawlers, which is the part that actually costs you visibility. The Fix Pack generates a corrected robots.txt and a complete llms.txt for your domain. Run the audit to see whether you are accidentally locked out.
